Nearly all therapists would agree that a support group is the most effective way in helping most female victims of domestic violence. The group aims to help women overcome the feelings and behaviors that have developed through years of violence. It also empowers women to seek positive, individual changes in their lives.
| | | Support Groups for Teens
A central focus is put on teaching teenagers different and creative ways to channel their anger. Teenagers also learn about how domestic violence is related to gang involvement, early teenage pregnancies, and drug and alcohol use, all common by-products of domestic violence. | | | Support Groups for Men This group was created primarily for the men that play a part in the lives of our female clients. This group serves as a support group with educational topics that cover anger management, parenting skills, communication skills, drug and alcohol use, domestic violence, and parenting. | | | |
