La Rosa would like to congratulate Annette and Jeannette Garza for their hard work at La Rosa. These 16-year-old girls were nominated for the Houston Texan’s NFL Community Quarterback Award, an award which honors individuals that have excelled in volunteering and community service. Because of their contributions to La Rosa, Annette and Jeannette were 2 of 6 finalists for the Community Quarterback Award and received VIP tickets to a Houston Texan’s Game.

- Host a fundraising tea for 10 people in your home or office one time
- Obtain toy donations for toddler room
- Obtain toy donations for Christmas toy distribution
- Donate 3 hours per week to assist with filing
- Donate 4 hours per week to answer phones and direct calls to proper destination
- Coordinate an activity for children (approximately 6 or 7 children) on Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon
- Coordinate an activity for children (approximately 6 or 7 children) on Thursdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon
- Obtain new children's books for library
